Ultadanga flyover to be partially shut over weekend

Kolkata: The EM Bypass-bound flank of the Ultadanga flyover will remain closed for two consecutive nights — from 11 pm on Saturday to 6 am on Sunday, and again from 11 pm on Sunday to 6 am on Monday — for the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority to conduct repair work. City-bound traffic from VIP Road will be diverted towards Durgapur Bridge and Salt Lake slip bridge.
The Bypass-bound flank was also closed from 11 pm on Friday till 6 am on Saturday.
Vidyasagar Setu, too, will remain closed from 6 am to 2 pm on Sunday to facilitate cable replacement.
Traffic will be diverted from 5 am to 2.30 pm. tnn
