Kolkata: The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday instructed the state finance department to conduct a forensic audit of the accounts of the Rose Valley Assets Disposal Committee. The HC had earlier asked the Sebi to carry out an audit of the committee led by retired HC judge Dilip Seth. A division bench of justices Rajarshi Bharadwaj and Uday Kumar issued Tuesday's directive after Sebi and CAG withdrew from conducting the audit.
The HC permitted the state to present its views at the next hearing on Dec 2.
