Kolkata: Commuters will now benefit from a new bus route, HB9, which will connect Santragachhi to Howrah station, en route Sealdah via MG Road. This will facilitate access to the East-West Metro and Sealdah from Santragachhi. Initially, 12 buses will run on this route.
The route will cover significant stops, including Belepole, Natun Rasta, Dalal Pukur, Shyamasree, Mullick Phatak, Howrah Maidan, Howrah Station, Burrabazar, MG Road, College Street and Sealdah, providing a comprehensive link across the city.
The first bus will depart from Santragachhi at 6.30 am, with the last bus will leave at 7.30 pm, catering to both early morning commuters and those travelling later in the evening. This initiative is expected to significantly reduce travel time and congestion. tnn
