Kolkata: Alerted by the BLO and the BLAs, a woman on Wednesday alleged that she discovered forgery in her and her husband's name while submitting her SIR forms. A case of forgery and document manipulation has been registered at the Airport police station.
In her complaint, Vidyasagar Pally resident Sita Roy accused Sandip Roy and Kartik Roy, both residents of the same locality, of using forged documents in the names of Sita and her late husband, Sanju Roy, and passing them off as the accused's parents.
While filling in her SIR form on Nov 24, Sita discovered that the accused allegedly forged documents and electronic records, implicating her and her late husband's identities without their knowledge. The BLO and the BLAs alerted Sita of the forgery within hours of SIR form submission. The initial probe showed that these documents were then used to withdraw money from banks illegally.
