Kolkata: Two of Indian Navy's most potent warships with guided-missile corvettes—INS Khanjar and INS Kora—will be open for public viewing for visitors with Indian photo IDs at Kidderpore Dock Berth 11 (Gate No. 3) between Friday and Sunday.
Students will get a rare chance to step aboard operational warships. These 90-metre-plus warships are capable of precise surface-to-surface and surface-to-air strikes. Officials said visitors are allowed from 9 am to 2.30 pm on Friday and from 11 am to 5 pm on weekend. INS Khanjar is affiliated with Army's Kumaon and Naga Regiments. INS Kora is named after Nepali sword wielded by Gurkha warriors. These can operate Chetak or Dhruv helicopters. tnn
