Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, president of Ramakrishna Math and Mission will inaugurate a new building of Mayer Bari named Ma Sarada Dham in north Kolkata tomorrow.
29 November is the birth anniversary of Swami Premanandaji Maharaj, one of the direct disciples of Sri Ramakrishna.
Swami Suviranandaji, general secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Mission will attend the function.
The newly-built house has two separate dining halls, one for the devotees and the other one for the monks. There is a residential quarter for the monks and an initiation hall. The number of devotees visiting Mayer Bari daily to get prasad is going up and space crunch was felt for quite some time. Also, there is lack of space and it was difficult to accommodate those who come for initiation.
