  • Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee would be holding a meeting with all departmental secretaries on Tuesday at Nabanna Sabhaghar on the progress of the ongoing schemes and developmental projects in the state and is likely to release an annual report card on the basis of reports already submitted to her office.

The meeting is scheduled to be held at 1.30 in the afternoon before the Chief Minister leaves for a two-day trip to Murshidabad and Malda, where she would likely hold administrative meetings.

Nabanna sources said that the annual report card of the government would be on the basis of developmental reports compiled by various departments.

Sources in the know claimed that the chief minister’s move to hold a review meeting with all departmental secretaries is to understand the shortcomings or negligence in implementing the various governmental projects and schemes now underway in the state. The meeting will also assess the time-bound implementations as the Assembly polls approach next year.

Sources claimed that the chief secretary emphasised to the government officers and DMs implementation of the ongoing projects should finish as per the schedule.
