  • Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today expressed her happiness over the overwhelming response of people to the Swasthya Bandhu mobile medical units, which were launched on 11 November.

Miss Banerjee, in a post on her X handle, said: “The Swasthya Bandhu Mobile Medical Unit initiative of the state government was launched on 11 November 2025. One hundred mobile units have been pressed into public service since then, and another 100 units will soon be joining the services.

“I am happy to share that today the camp footfall has crossed the one lakh mark in just 20 days since launch.

“Hundreds of needy persons are coming to these camps to avail themselves of essential medical services, including lab tests, ECG and USG, free of cost — especially serving aged people and women.

“So far, 1,027 camps have been organised, with the majority of beneficiaries being women and the elderly. It is yet another people-friendly initiative of our government.”
