More than 7k people visit Sebaashray camps by Day 4

Sebaashray 2 camps at Maheshtala in southern suburbs have left a great impact on the people living under Diamond Harbour Lok Sabha constituency with the number of people visiting the camps going up steadily.
Sabaashray 2 camps, which provide free medical assistance to the people living under Diamond Harbour Lok Sabha seat, so far have seen 7,296 people on the fourth day.
The initiative started by Abhishek Banerjee, Trinamul Congress MP from Diamond Harbour and party’s national general secretary enters the fourth day today. The camps will be held for seven days in all the seven Assembly segments under the Diamond Harbour Lok Sabha seat. It will come to an end on 28 January, 2026. The Assembly segments where the camps will be held beside Maheshtala are Budge Budge, Metiabruz, Falta, Satgachia, Bishnupur and Diamond Harbour. Each Assembly segment will have a model camp which are attended by specialised doctors, nursing and para medical staffs.
As many as 4,771 people got free diagnostic tests while 4,648 people were given free medicines. One hundred and seventy four people were referred to state-run and private hospitals for treatment.
Abhishek posted in his X handle on Friday: “have always felt that true service is more than an act of kindness, it is a duty, a responsibility, and a promise to stand by every individual who seeks help. It was this belief that gave birth to the first edition of Sebaashray in Diamond Harbour, where care, compassion, and dignity reached lakhs of people who needed it most.”
