Suspended TMC MLA Humayun Kabir to form his party on Dec 22

A day after laying the foundation stone of controversial new Babri Masjid in his Muslim dominated home district of Murshidabad in West Bengal, suspended Trinamool Congress MLA Humayun Kabir on Sunday announced that he will form his new party on December 22 and revert his decision to quit his Bharatpur assembly seat in the district.
After laying the foundation stone via remote control from Rejinagar in presence of two clerics from Saudi Arabia, Kabir today visited the spot where the Babri mosque is planned to be constructed even as hundreds of his followers assembled carrying bricks, iron rods and bags of sands and dumped them on a demarcated paddy field.
He also announced to hold a mass Holy Quran recital by one people in early February, following his foundation-laying of the Babri Masjid- model mosque in a place in Murshidabad, amid a backdrop of Gita path by five lakh voices in Kolkata. Kabir said he will host all the participants with a feast of meat and rice on the day when whole day Qyran recitation to be held in early February next year.
Kabir said the Muslim population of the state will build the Babri Masjid at all costs. He said no one can move a single brick from here.
The Babri Masjid, which was flattened on December 5,1992, will be built with the same type of structure with a budget of Rs 300 crore, The compex of 25 Bighas will also house a hospital, a guest house, and a conference hall.
A collection box was also set up at the site where the people started donating for the building of the mosque.
He said money will be no constraint for the building of the mosque as one person already promised to donate Rs 80 crore for construction to his trust for the mosque.
He said a new party of his to be formed on December 22 and it will fight for the 2026 West Bengal assembly election in 135 seats out of 294.
He said his party has a chance to win in 80/90 seats in Muslim dominated areas of the state.
Kabir said his earlier decision to quit the Bharatpur assembly seat was reversed due to pressure from his constituency voters, for he has to work.
