Kolkata: A complaint has been filed at Ekbalpore police station alleging that Bihar CM Nitish Kumar had "committed a deliberate and malicious act during a govt function in Patna by pulling down the hijab of Nusrat Parveen". The complainant, Sk Sahajada of Bhukailash Road claimed the act was meant to outrage religious feelings and cause public mischief, reports Dwaipayan Ghosh.
Police said links from three social media platforms were cited in the complaint. Police said they will contact the complainant and record his statement to ascertain why he feels "aggrieved". In Patna, neighbours said Nusrat's family vacated their New Pataliputra flat and locked another residence at Mohidin Enclave on Dec 17. Police declined to confirm any link between the family and the complainant.
