Kolkata: The regional passport office (RPO), Kolkata, announced a series of passport adalats in Jan to expedite scrutiny and processing of long-pending applications.
The passport adalats will be held on Jan 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, and 29 at the RPO premises. Each will accommodate up to 800 applicants per day through appointments across five slots between 9.30 am and 5.30 pm. Of the total daily appointments, 300 will be scheduled in the first slot, 200 in the second, and 100 each in the remaining three slots.
Telephone enquiries and walk-in appointments will remain suspended on all passport adalat dates. tnn
