Kolkata: Two women residing at one of the biggest complexes of New Town submitted a written complaint with Techno City Police on Wednesday, accusing two men—one of whom had a relationship with their third flatmate —of molestation, assault and attempt to rape. They have also accused the parents of these men of criminal trespass, verbal abuse and issuing threats.
The complainant have sought registration of an FIR into the matter. The accused reside in another flat in the same complex.
The women have stated that the dispute arose in the context of their flatmate's relationship with one of the accused. According to the complaint, the accused repeatedly entered the complainants' flat without consent, created disturbances, issued threats, and used abusive language on several occasions. The accused, as per the complaint, had alleged that these women manipulated the flatmate's relationship with him.
They further alleged that on Wednesday both the men entered the flat at night, touched them inappropriately, and attempted sexual assault during the wee hours. The men had also made obscene remarks on multiple occasions, they alleged.
In another case, a 22 year-old woman of Picnic Garden alleged that she was assaulted by her former boyfriend after the accused came to know that she was attending a New Year's party with some of her new friends.
The Tiljala Police registered a case in this regard.
