  • Kolkata: More than 500 students from 12 city schools participated at the 23rd edition of South Point School's annual inter-school festival, Ullas 2025–2026, on its premises recently.

The festival was inaugurated by Rajeeb Chakraborty, the internationally-acclaimed sarod player, educationist, and music composer.

The two-day event was a platform for exchange of ideas. As 2025 marks the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, several events were based on science. The school was adorned with pinwheels, symbolising a harmonious fusion of science and aesthetics and capturing the essence of ULLAS this year.

On the first day, students of classes 2 and 3 participated in card-making. Jhalapala, inspired by Sukumar Ray's works, brought lively Bengali skits to the stage. Spell-O-Fun, a language-based quiz, enhanced vocabulary and spelling skills. Music took centre stage in Do-Re-Mi, commemorating 60 years of The Sound of Music. Roots of Rhythm, showcased folk dances from around the world. The second day unfolded with Sci-Fi for classes 4 and 5. Students also participated in the ‘Voice Your Views' debate.
