Kolkata: Even as ED continued its searches at the I-PAC office in Sector V and the firm's director's residence on Loudon Street on Thursday, Trinamool supporters took out rallies in different parts of the city, protesting against the central agency's "attempt at data theft".
Traffic slowed down in various pockets of Kolkata as Trinamool Congress workers hit the streets in protest against the searches carried out by the central investigative agency, the Enforcement Directorate, on Thursday morning at the office and residence of I-PAC's director, Pratik Jain.
The protests slowed down traffic, especially at crossings. Police said they opened up extra channels to keep vehicles movingon the opposite lane to ensure that traffic did not get stuck.
