Kolkata: The Union home ministry on Friday sought detailed reports from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on the sequence of events that transpired on Thursday involving ED's searches at the I-PAC office in Kolkata and at the residence of its chief, Pratik Jain.
ED officials who were part of the searches have already filed a report with the Union finance ministry.
Agency officials have alleged that CM Mamata Banerjee entered the premises with police and "forcibly took away digital devices and key incriminating documents."
Sources in the CRPF said security of ED officials may be stepped up soon.
