Kolkata road closure, Kolkata Traffic Advisory: The Belgharia Railway Over Bridge (ROB) will remain closed from January 17 as Sealdah Division undertakes renovation work. Thus, vehicular movement on the bridge will be completely restricted from Saturday, January 17, until the completion of the project.

In a statement, Eastern Railway (ER), under which Sealdah Division falls, said that vehicular traffic will be diverted through alternative routes to ensure public safety and facilitate the smooth execution of the work.

“Traffic movement over Belgharia Railway Over Bridge shall remain completely restricted from 00:01 hrs. on 17.01.2026 till completion of the work, and vehicular traffic shall be diverted through alternative routes as notified by the Barrackpore Police Commissionerate in the interest of public safety and smooth execution of the work,” ER said.

B.T. Road → Rathtala Morh / Nilgunj Road & B.T. Road Crossing → Sindhu Store Morh on Nilgunj Road → Texmaco / Military Road → 04 No. Rail Gate → via Sahid Bedi on N. Basudeb Road → M.B. Road (Culture Morh) → Nimta / Kalyani Expressway.

M.B. Road → Culture Morh (Right turn) → Old Nimta Road → 02 No. Rail Gate → Nilgunj Road → Sindhu Store Morh → B.T. Road.

Ascending/Descending point of Belgharia Railway Over Bridge – No vehicles will be allowed to ply through Belgharia Railway Over Bridge.
