Kolkata: A 30-year-old woman was allegedly attacked with a chopper and reportedly molested by her neighbour in east Kolkata's Anandapur Lake Pally area around 3.30 pm on Jan 18, after repeated disputes over loud music, police said.
The woman, a housewife and a resident of the Anandapur PS area is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital and is recuperating, police said.
The accused was identified in the complaint as Amal Kanti Ghosh, an Anandapur resident. Police said the accused was the her neighbour.
She alleged that the accused physically assaulted her with a chopper, during an altercation linked to a "sound system problem". She also alleged that he used filthy language and outraged her modesty.TNN
