Congress stages protest over electoral roll revision

Kolkata: Congress workers, led by state president Shubhankar Sarkar, on Tuesday staged a demonstration outside EC's office here, protesting the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bengal.
Barricades were set up outside the CEO's office, which protestors attempted to breach while raising slogans.
The agitating Congress workers alleged that BJP was using the SIR process as a tool to delete the names of genuine voters by branding them as ‘Rohingya' and ‘infiltrators'.
