Kolkata: The Calcutta HC on Wednesday expressed its displeasure over the absence of state govt's lawyers for yet another day during the hearing of a petition related to overcrowding of prisons, pending since 2017, and fixed next hearing for Thursday.
A division bench of justices Debangsu Basak and Md Shabbar Rashidi observed that the hearing was being repeatedly adjourned because of non-appearance of lawyers.
