Kolkata: A 28-year-old man, Anupam Chowdhury from Tamil Nadu, was found unconscious in a first-floor room of a three-storey hotel in Kasba. He was declared brought dead at CNMCH.
Police said the hotel authorities informed them that the victim was not opening the door to his room and sought help from the cops around 12.30 pm.
According to DC (Jadavpur-SWD) Bidisha Kalita, Chowdhury checked in a day earlier. "The room was locked from inside. It seems he suffered a sudden heart seizure. We are ascertaining why this was triggered or if foul play was involved. The autopsy will take place on Saturday. We are contacting his family," said Kalita.
