Kolkata: A 28-year-old woman alleged stalking, criminal intimidation, sexual threats, assault and defamation by a man she previously dated. She seeked immediate police protection and wanted to register an FIR.
In the complaint submitted to Shyampukur Police Station, the woman said she was in a relationship with the man from July 2023 to Nov 2025, when she ended it after learning he was married and had a child. On Nov 10, 2025, the man allegedly assaulted and threatened her. On Monday, the man came to her house and verbally harassed her mother, 55, and made statements about the complainant which were intended to malign her character. This has left both her and her mother traumatized. tnn
