  • Kolkata: The Church of North India (CNI) held a workshop titled "Roadmap for the Standing Committees of the Synod of CNI" to define the church's trajectory for the coming years, including ways for growth, sustainable development, and institutional self-reliance, with emphasis on the mobilisation of the church's diverse resources — human, institutional, financial, and community-based.

The workshop, held under Bishop Paritosh Canning's guidance, called for purposeful coordination across standing committees, sharper planning, and measurable outcomes that advanced the church's mission.

Among priority areas were education and healthcare, with a call to strengthen quality, reach, and sustainability of the church's historic institutions; social service and empowerment, prioritising women's empowerment and safeguarding vulnerable communities; developing targeted programmes for mother and child care, youth development, and support for senior citizens and ensuring inclusivity, accessibility, and dignity across church-led initiatives.
