In a major cultural event for the Nepali-speaking community in eastern India, legendary Nepali folk-rock band Nepathya is set to perform in Siliguri for the first time on 28 February at Utsodhaara, Teesta Township, behind Kawakhali Ground.
The announcement gained further prominence after Darjeeling MP Raju Bista formally unveiled the official event T-shirt and merchandise for “Nepathya Live in Siliguri”.
Organisers expect thousands of attendees from across North Bengal, the Northeast, Bhutan and Nepal, positioning the concert as a significant cross-border cultural gathering. Widely regarded as Nepal’s most influential folk-rock band, Nepathya has built a strong following over decades by blending traditional Nepali musical elements with contemporary themes and social messages.
The event is being presented by PVE Network in association with Club Gravity.
Community leaders described the event as an important cultural moment for the Nepali-speaking population of the region, highlighting the role of music in strengthening cultural identity and regional connections.
