Ayushman Bharat in state when BJP forms govt: Samik

Kolkata: Bengal BJP president Samik Bhattacharya on Thursday said that the Ayushman Bharat scheme will be introduced in the state in the next few months when BJP is voted to office this time and said that the scheme will also benefit migrant workers.
At a private hospital event in Durgapur, Bhattacharya said, "Bengal is the only state where the Ayushman card could not be rolled out. There are thousands of migrant workers who cannot avail health insurance benefits using the Swasthya Sathi card. Any tourist can avail the benefits of the Ayushman scheme. The Ayushman Card will be adopted in the state from July this year after the new govt is formed."
At Kulti later in the day, Bhattacharya said, "In 2026, Trinamool will have to fight against the people. The govt is sunk deep into corruption."
