Kolkata: Calcutta High Court on Friday granted bail to Santi Prasad Sinha., former adviser to the West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBCSSC), in the ED case into the teachers' recruitment scam. Sinha got bail from the Supreme Court in the related CBI case last year, reports Subrata Chattoraj.
Justice Jay Sengupta granted Sinha bail on a bond of Rs 5 lakh and conditions like submission of passport, not changing his residential address without permission, not leaving his residential area and meeting the investigating officer as and when called.
Sinha has been in custody since 2022 for his alleged involvement in recruitment corruption. Justice Sengupta specified that Sinha would provide two phone numbers to the police station and IO for any summons.
