• Godrej Properties wins bid for prime 5-acre plot off EM Bypass

  • Kolkata: Godrej Properties Ltd (GPL) has won the bid for a prime five-acre plot off EM Bypass in an e-auction conducted by the West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (WBHIDCO). The company said it planned to develop a premium residential project on the plot with an estimated revenue potential of Rs 1,650 crore.

    Godrej Properties MD & CEO Gaurav Pandey said: "Kolkata's homebuyers are increasingly seeking neighbourhoods that offer strong connectivity, dependable social infrastructure, and homes aligned with evolving lifestyle needs. The EM Bypass micro-market reflects this shift, making it an important location for us to deepen our presence."

    The company also announced the acquisition of 11.36 acres in Sector 63A, Gurugram, through an outright purchase. Located along Golf Course Extension Road, one of NCR's most premium residential corridors, the project is expected to generate over Rs 4,500 crore in revenue and will comprise a mix of premium low-rise and high-rise units.
