Shifting to Kerala to work for ‘Viksit Bharat’: Bose
Times of India | 7 March 2026
Kolkata: In his first statement after resigning as Bengal governor, C V Ananda Bose did not offer any reason and only said he was shifting to Kerala to work for "Viksit Bharat".
Along with his post on the Raj Bhavan X handle at 10.21 pm, Bose also shared his resignation letter to President Droupadi Murmu, which also did not spell out why he abruptly resigned. Incidentally, a week back, he had posted on the same handle his delight to be a Bengal voter and his intent to exercise his franchise in Bengal.
Bose wrote: "My innings in West Bengal is coming to a close. I am deeply indebted to the great people of Bengal for the affection and regards lavished on me. I am shifting to Kerala to work towards Viksit Bharat. I will work under the guidance of the national leadership for achieving the goals of this great mission and do my best to further the cause of our dear Keralam, which is my home state." He also expressed his gratitude to the President, PM Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah "for their kindness and guidance".
On his return to Kerala, Bose said: "I take this new mission as my solemn duty and as a gesture of gratitude to the people of Keralam, who, I would say, brought me up. I also extend my best wishes to Shri R N Ravi, my very dear friend and distinguished public administrator, who will be my illustrious successor."
