The office of the Bengal CEO shifted from the Balmer Lawrie building on Netaji Subhas Road to the Shipping Corporation of India building at 13, Strand Road. Officials said shortage of space was the main reason behind the relocation, which came after over 15 years. With a steady rise in the number of personnel, the existing office became increasingly difficult to manage, an official said.
