  • Kolkata: City-based AI-enabled B2B metals platform NowPurchase has raised Rs 80 crore in a funding round led by Bajaj Finserv, with participation from existing investors InfoEdge Ventures and Orios Venture Partners.

    The round also saw investments from individual investors and family offices including Shikhar Raj, Real Ispat Group, Madhur Gupta of Lloyds Group, VC Grid and Professor Kartik Hosanagar.

    The AI-enabled platform, promoted by Naman Shah and Aakash Shah of the Nipha Group, said the fresh capital will be used to strengthen its scrap recycling operations, expand its branded products portfolio and scale MetalCloud — its AI platform that helps metal manufacturers digitise and optimise production using IoT and computer vision.
