Kolkata: Trinamool candidate from Behala West, Ratna Chatterjee, has been served a notice by the Kolkata Police in connection with the alleged vandalism of a BJP party office in Parnasree. She has been asked to join the probe, with cops hinting they will record her statement at the "earliest".
The move comes after the EC took cognisance of the weekend violence and the police submitted a report to them. The Parnasree area was tense on Sunday afternoon as supporters of Trinamool and BJP clashed over putting up of campaign posters.
Indranil Khan, the BJP candidate, led a protest later that evening. BJP supporters surrounded the Parnasree PS, staging a sit-in. Chatterjee had also lodged a counter complaint.
