Kolkata: A resident of an apartment on Baranashi Ghosh Street in Girish Park sustained injuries on Sunday after a dispute over a barking pet allegedly escalated into a physical assault on her and her minor son. The dog, too, was struck with a steel rod.
According to the complaint, around 2.30 pm the victim heard a commotion on the terrace. When she went there, she reportedly found a female neighbour hurling "filthy abuses" at her minor son.
The neighbour's husband allegedly twisted the victim's arms, grabbed her by the collar, stole her gold chain and outraged her modesty. His wife reportedly threatened to kill the victim's son and the dog. The victim also claimed to be pushed out of the terrace. She received treatment for head and arm injuries. tnn
