Kolkata: Online collection of property tax in Salt Lake and Rajarhat Gopalpur areas of Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) for the financial year of 2026-27 will start from Monday.
The tax structure of Salt Lake is different from that of Rajarhat Gopalpur. Citizens of Salt Lake, covering BMC wards 29 to 41 except 35, 36 and 38, will start getting tax demand notices from the fourth week of April.
However, residents can check their total amount by typing their building assessment number at the property tax section in the BMC website and start paying tax online from Monday.
For citizens of the Rajarhat Gopalpur area, which covers BMC wards 1 to 28, offline tax payment will start from April 16 between 11 am and 3 pm at designated bank branches and BMC tax collection offices. tnn
