Political party leaders, workers join TMC in Uluberia

Eleven panchayat members from different political parties officially joined the Trinamul Congress. This joining programme was led by TMC candidate from Uluberia South constituency and minister, Pulak Roy. Along with him were the president of the Trinamul Congress of Uluberia South constituency, Dulal Chandra Kar, president of the Trinamul Youth Congress of Howrah Rural District, Debashish Banerjee, president of Trinamool Youth Congress of Uluberia South constituency Salim Mollah, among others.
The minister also held a Press conference on Thursday. According to party sources, those who joined included BJP panchayat member Kartik Mal of Kalinagar gram panchayat, CPI-M member Begum Borkha Bahari of Bahira panchayat, and CPI-M panchayat member Sheikh Noor Alam Mallick of Dhulasimla. Besides, Congress panchayat member Sheikh Kalam Ali and Fazila Begum Mollah of Hatgachha-2 panchayat also took up the TMC flag.
In addition, former head of Tapna gram panchayat and Independent member Sunandan Mandal and Independent member of Bahira Sheikh Yasin joined the ruling party. From the ISF, four panchayat members Nasima Begum, Tapsi Mandal, Himanur Rahman Mallick and Afsana Tajmin also joined the Trinamul Congress.
