Kolkata: The detective department narcotics cell on Friday arrested three persons, including a woman, with 27.5 kg ganja during a raid on the Maidan.
The contraband is valued at Rs 13.7 lakh in the grey market. The arrested, Jaideb Paik from Kulpi, and couple Raju Sardar and Usha from Mandirbazar in South 24 Parganas, will be produced in court on Saturday. The search of the accused and seizure of the consignment were recorded on video in the presence of a gazetted officer and a woman cop. tnn
