Kolkata: The beautification work of the median stretch below Maa flyover between Chingrighata and Park Circus bridge no. 4 has been completed. Nabadiganta Industrial Township Authority (NDITA) that was entrusted with the work last year has set up pocket gardens and fencing along both sides of the median, and the authorities were now involving an agency for maintenance of the 6-km long median stretch of the flyover. NDITA has carried out the landscaping and beautification of the Salt Lake bypass and maintains the stretch as well.
"The median stretch below the metro alignment on Salt Lake Bypass was beautified and is now properly maintained with greenery and pocket gardens by NDITA. Looking into the work, the govt entrusted NDITA to beautify and maintain the median stretch of Maa flyover the same way, though it is outside the jurisdiction of the authority," said a senior govt official. - Suman.Chakraborti
