Planning to arrest all the TMC workers: Mamata on Central agencies

Coming down heavily on the BJP, Trinamul Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee said the saffron party has converted the election, a festival of democracy, into a festival of atrocity.
“The BJP is such a nasty party that it has reduced the festival of democracy to a festival of atrocity and torture. It has used agencies like the ED, CBI and Election Commission to fulfil its dreams. Their dreams will be shattered in Bengali and we will resist any attack on democracy. Rest assured we are going to come to power,” she said while addressing a rally at the Dum Dum Central Jail ground this afternoon.
The candidates of Dum Dum and North Dum Dum, Bratya Basu and Chandrima Bhattacharya were present at the meeting.
She said, unable to digest its impending defeat, the BJP has let loose the Central agencies. “Today the Income Tax department raided the house of Debashis Kumar, our nominee for Rashbehari constituency. The ED is sending notices to our candidates just to put them under pressure. Now, they are planning to arrest all the Trinamul workers at midnight before the election. Do not think the game is so easy. We are prepared to face your nasty game,” she said, adding, “I urge our candidates and leaders to be careful about their bags and belongings when they go out as the BJP is capable of putting money in their bags and getting them arrested,” she said.
