• Work without fear: CM to IAS officers

  • Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari today asked all the IAS officers, many of them are secretaries to various government departments to work without any fear and trepidation and shun the culture of “sycophants”.

He asked them to concentrate at work and work to their potential as the present government is a firm believer in “talk less and work more” doctrine.

Giving out a clear signal to the departmental secretaries, including chief secretary Dushyant Nariala and home secretary Sanghamitra Ghosh, Mr Adhikari told them to put a stop to the alleged “crony culture” as they were quite used to in the previous dispensation and work fearlessly and without any fear. “Place your proposal and opinion on issues directly either to me or the chief secretary with clarity. Unlike the previous dispensation, which was for the party , this current one is for the people,” he is supposed to have said.

The Chief Minister also said that the government officers should desist from the alleged culture of scribbling the phrase “Under the blessings of the chief minister” as was the custom earlier.

The Chief Minister also proposed setting up of a WhatsApp group, where all the departmental secretaries, including the Chief Secretary would be part of. The Chief Minister would also be part of the group.

The new CM, sources claimed, told the officers that they should either approach him directly or place their proposal with clarity to him.

He also asked them to give a start the Central schemes at the earliest.
