Kolkata: The body of a 40-year-old man, Surajit Sardar, was found near a pond in Sonarpur's Vidyadharpur Lalpol Chowdhury Bagan area on Sunday morning. His family members alleged that he was murdered.
According to cops, Sardar was living with a transgender person, Bijoy alias Pinki, for the past several months. Locals said the couple went to a fair on Saturday evening and allegedly got into an argument after returning home. Police said there was a mark around the victim's neck.
