  • Kolkata: Blue Line (north-south corridor) services were disrupted for an hour on Monday following a suicide attempt at Rabindra Sarobar station. "The incident took place at 4.10 pm on the Shahid Khudiram-bound tracks. Soon after the suicide bid, power supply to the section was suspended, and rescue operations were carried out at the station. Normal services resumed at 5.15 pm," a Metro Railway spokesperson said.

"People like us were once again at the mercy of app cabs that overcharged. I paid Rs 450 to travel from Park Street to Kudghat," said Sudakshina Chatterjee, private firm executive. tnn
