  • Barakar: Bulldozers moved into the Balitore area in Kulti on Tuesday as railway authorities began demolishing houses allegedly built on railway land, triggering protests from residents, reports Mohammad Asif.

Locals claimed nearly 400 families had been living on the land for decades. Residents alleged that RPF personnel asked them to vacate immediately before the demolition began. Women and children staged protests, standing in front of bulldozers. The eviction drive was temporarily halted. Railway officials warned the drive would resume if occupants failed to vacate the land.
