Vidyasagar Setu to stay closed for 8 hrs on June 14

Kolkata: Vidyasagar Setu will remain closed to all vehicular traffic for eight hours on Sunday, June 14, to facilitate repair and rehabilitation work.
According to an official notification, the closure will be in effect from 6 am to 2 pm. Engineers will execute vital structural maintenance, including the replacement of stay cables, holding-down cables, and bearings during this period.
Traffic police have advised commuters traveling between Kolkata and Howrah to divert via the Howrah Bridge (Rabindra Setu) or through Nivedita Setu to avoid congestion during the maintenance window.
