Bengal govt plans two dolphin parks along the Hooghly

Kolkata: The state has plans to set up two dolphin parks along the Hooghly in coordination with the central govt as part of efforts to conserve aquatic biodiversity and develop eco-tourism in the state. “The state govt has come up with plans to develop dolphin parks. One of them has been planned to come up at Contai,” state urban development & municipal affairs minister Agnimitra Paul said on Thursday.
Union minister of Jal Shakti C R Paatil said there were plans to set up five more sewerage treatment plants in the city.
