Agartala: Aiming to empower entrepreneurs and foster sustainable growth for startups in the region, the Tripura IT department hosted the Northeast Growth Lab Roadshow here, an initiative aimed at enhancing the local startup ecosystem through innovation, mentorship and investment opportunities.
The event featured a Value Proposition Workshop and served as a significant step in Tripura’s efforts to cultivate an innovation-driven entrepreneurial culture. IT secretary Kiran Gitte said the initiative seeks to create new opportunities for startups statewide by providing critical resources and avenues for growth.
The programme brought together a vibrant mix of entrepreneurs, startup founders, government officials and industry experts. Attendees participated in intensive workshops that offered practical business development knowledge while connecting them to national mentorship networks and investment platforms.
Gitte reiterated the state government’s commitment to building a supportive environment where startups can thrive and contribute to Tripura’s economic progress. He reinforced the government’s vision of establishing Tripura as a key hub for entrepreneurship and innovation in the Northeast.
The IT secretary also stressed the importance of mentorship, technological enablement and access to business networks in empowering young entrepreneurs, calling them key elements for driving employment generation and inclusive growth across the state.
During the event, startup founders worked on business worksheets and presented their ideas to industry experts. The hands-on activity allowed participants to receive actionable feedback to help them refine their business plans, improve market positioning and enhance customer engagement strategies.
The Northeast Growth Lab initiative is poised to open up new avenues for investment, mentorship, collaboration and capacity building by linking Tripura’s startups with experienced industry leaders and investors. The programme aligns with Tripura’s larger goal of fostering digital innovation, incentivising youth entrepreneurship and nurturing a sustainable, tech-driven startup ecosystem in the region, Gitte added.
