  • Kolkata: To boost north-south connectivity through public transport, the West Bengal Transport Corporation (WBTC) has launched a new non-AC bus route and revived two popular historical routes on Saturday.

The newly introduced route, S-71, establishes a direct link between Khardaha and the state secretariat, Nabanna, in Howrah. Alongside this new connection, transport authorities have restarted two other routes— S-2B and S-33A.

Route S-2B, a service connecting Bagbazar to Ballygunge, has resumed after being suspended during the pandemic. Meanwhile, route S-33A has been revived from the 33A route, establishing a link between Paikpara and Park Circus to streamline south-bound travel with two buses each making three trips.
