State appoints EC, court members to 14 universities

Kolkata: The state higher education department on Thursday issued a notification, appointing its nominees to ECs and courts of 14 state-run universities. The nominees to these universities are WBCS and IAS officers from the department and their tenure is four years or until further order. The 14 universities include JU, RBU, MAKAUT and the University of Kalyani. The previous govt’s nominees to ECs and courts of the higher education department resigned after the change in govt.
