Anil Verma named WBPSC chairperson

Kolkata: Bengal govt on Monday appointed Anil Verma as the new chairperson of West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC).
The position of the WBPSC chairperson was vacant since the resignation of retired IFS officer Debal Ray.
Verma, a retired 1989-batch IAS officer of the Bengal cadre, held 27 key positions across his 36-year-long career.
Before his retirement in Dec last year, Verma served as the director of Netaji Subhash Administrative Training Institute.
