Kolkata: Sixty guest lecturers staged a protest at Sanskrit College and University against being removed without any prior notice.
One protesting teacher said, “We have been working here for the past couple of years, and our contracts were due for renewal in September. However, before that, the university authorities carried out fresh appointments and removed us. The university management is neither listening to us nor ready to clarify the matter.”
A senior official of Sanskrit College and University said, “Their contracts have already lapsed, so it is not true that they have been removed.”
