Keshpur: Chief minister Suvendu Adhikari’s helicopter made an emergency landing at Kolaghat on Tuesday after bad weather disrupted its scheduled flight to Mohabani in Keshpur, West Midnapore.
The helicopter, which took off from Dum Dum, landed at the football ground of Kolaghat Balaka Mancha near the Kolaghat Thermal Power Plant. Adhikari subsequently travelled by road to Keshpur, where he was scheduled to attend an event marking the martyrdom day of Khudiram Bose.
The CM left Kolaghat by car around 11.21 am, with his convoy travelling through Midnapore before reaching Keshpur. The helicopter later departed Kolaghat for Kolkata at 12.41 pm.
