SC extends shield to Abhishek Banerjee’s PA Sumit Roy till Wednesday

Kolkata: Supreme Court on Friday extended the interim protection against coercive action to TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee’s personal assistant Sumit Roy in the Salboni land case till Wednesday.
The matter will next be heard on Aug 19. Roy’s counsel Gopal Sankaranarayanan submitted that Roy has been cooperating with the probe. SG Tushar Mehta sought some time to submit a detailed report.
